Hell again, I had a look through the BMD index re The Manx Sun Newspaper and found only:

Marriage: 6 Nov 1867 Robert Nelson Physician youngest son of the late Rev John Nelson Vicar of Bride to Emma Morca widow of the late Capt F W Stafford and daughter of the late George Hibbard of Bath

Birth: on Tuesday last (in Manx Sun Sat June 27 1868) a son to Mr Robert Nelson a Physician at 28 Mona St Douglas

I guess that this is the wrong Robert Nelson. If we knew the name of his boat that might help...
