Hop Tu Naa

Hop Tu Naa is nearly upon us once again and this may be the time to ask those about this old and traditional celebration?
---------------------------
I realise that this is not strictly Genealogy, but tradition has a funny way of repeating itself amongst new generations and maybe YOU, can remember some tales of old?
---------------------------
So what do you know about this? Tell me your short stories whether it be of fact or fiction and instead of me writing the Hop Tu Naa song, I'll let you look it up in the Manx Notebook and for those who can read music, you'll also find a link at the bottom of the page.
---------------------------
Plus, Can you remember things your grandparents/parents/partners/friends did on Hop Tu Naa? Share your stories and tales with us.
--------------------------
Some of you will know that Nan Wade was one of my relations and was a fabled Witch of Poortown and a doll was made in her image, which can be seen in the Manx Museum.
Some stories of old can also be seen on Frances's Manx Notebook and others are yet to be revealed
