It looks as though by the time they came to engrave the gravestone they got the October death dates the wrong way around (or a FHS MI transcription error?).

HULME, Maud 84 Mau 10 Oct 1963

In loving memory of FRANK LEONARD HULME died 7th Oct 1962 aged 93 years
also his wife MAUD died 27th Oct 1963 aged 84 years"

So Frank died 27th Oct and buried 31st, and Maud died 7th Oct and buried 10th?
