1820 settlers.com mentions a William Cannell who arrived 1845 and married Rosetta Featherstone 1847 in Eastern Cape. Their children are listed with the first named Mona.

Another section mentions he was the only son of Mr P Cannell from Douglas.

Philip Cannell and Margaret Harrison had one child called William Thomas christened 1819.

It appears that Margaret died in the next few years and Philip is shown in the census until his burial Feb. 23 1869 aged 88.
