My parents have lived in Glebe Cottage for almost 30 years, it was the farm cottage for my grandparents farm, Maurice died about three/four years ago now, his son and daughter had a big house clearance and sale in the rear garden that lasted two days! There were loads of interesting items including teeth, false legs and large TT photographs! I think that cleared out most of the house. Maurice didn't want Dandara to have the property and turned down offers right up until his death but Dandara made a large offer to his family and who can blame them for not turning it down... It's got a lot of history but situated opposite Robinsons and between two entrances to a large business park doesn't make it a great place to live. We are currently trying to stop Dandara demolishing our old family home just up the road from the smithy, they want to replace it with a hideous HUGE fake Georgian style house... There will be no buidings of character left at the Cooill in ten years time... very sad.
