Many thanks for your prompt and informative response.You're right, P.M.A. Strappini was married, first time round, to Eliza Thornhill. My great-grandfather, Arthur Grebe Strappini, was born in Guernsey in May 1856. P.M.A.S. subsequently left his legal practice in London to take up residence in the Isle of Man (he obviously had a taste for islands) where he went on, so I understand, to become a founder member of the local branch if the R.S.P.C.A.
