The father of Elizabeth Devalve was John Devalve. At the time of her birth in the IOM John was married to Ann Jane Devalve (nee Curphey)
Elizabeth never lived with John and Ann and appears to have been fostered out to her Aunt and Uncle Elizabeth and William Leitche Ferguson. She married Capt.James Beatie Ferrier in 1901, he died in 1918. Although Elizabeth is mentioned on his grave stone she is not buried with him. She is not mentioned in any re-marriage and she is not in the BMD deaths. A bit of a mystery. John and Ann are both buried Toxteth Park emetery Liverpool.
