there is an average error rate of about 2% (maybe a little less) in Brian's transcriptions - most common is last digit in age/year out by 1 key worst case being '9's transcribed as '0's etc - the error rate varies a little between items and batches within them - don't forget for burials he was working from the IoMFHSoc transcriptions which themselves contain errors (and omitted pages etc)
