While searching through the 1881 Census for Whitehaven in Cumberland Workhouse, I came across an unusual name, of a John Cotcher aged 70yrs,who states he was born in the Isle of Man.
This is a name I can't say I have ever come across while searching records or census's of the island. Is this a Manx name or not?
