Hi Donna and Sue , thanks guys , I am not sure what is correct here , I am doing this for someone else , her great grandfather was :

John Thomas Cain , he was born Parish of German 15/4/1855 , to Philip Caine and Catharine Watterson , Father Labourer , residing Lhargydho .

She has a "rough" copy of the Marriage Certificate , in Braddan which she gave me the date of 14/5/1854 , minister Robert Brown ,
Witnesses appear to be Robert Watterson , Robert Quiggin and James Corrin .

However since you have given me the "other" Philip and Catharine marrying 14/5/1834 , the whole story could change . I am getting her to check the date .

Is anybody able tp check 1861 census for 5-6 yo John Thomas Cain ??
