Thanks for the info. Yes, I knew that Richard was the son of Thomas and Margaret Cooil of Ballacooil. He was one of 6 sons. I hadn't connected with Catherine Lace, she seems a little old, is it more likely a daughter of hers? I'll have to dig a little deeper.

On the next page of that census, living in Market Place is Christian E Quirk (transcribed as Quick in ancestry), sister Susannah and neice Margaret A Cannell. She is a milline. Margaret is the daughter of Ann Cannell, their eldest sister and John of Ballacarnane Beg, Michael. They were 6 Quirk girls from Gleneedle, their mother being Margaret Kelly the "reluctant bride".
