Thanks for that interesting info Nigel. I have the 1756 will of William Garrett husband of Isable Fargher, nameing his wife and three sons. Lezayre bur reg has: Garret William (Frangagh) 11 Aug 1756. His eldest son William Fargher born 5 Mar 1748 is illeg,as William and Isable did not marry until 12 Oct 1751 at Lez.Isable then pregnant with second child. I suspect William born 1748 is the William Garrett age 85 at Ballacowle with [son] John Garrett and wife Elizabeth als Crow. William Garrett who married Anne Christian 22 July 1790 Lez, had a dau and two sons. Son John born 7 Sept 1793 Lez is I believe the John who Married Elizabeth Crow. He died 31 Oct 1867 Lez aged 74. regards Pauline
