I am confused as to why her name was changed to Margaret Caley in the 1881 census grand daughter of Thomas Kneale and Margaret. If this change happened after birth and before marriage why would her marriage certificate be in her maiden name of Kneale. Any answers would be appreciated. Also I can not find my grandmother Maud Curphey born around 1900. According to her marriage certificate her father is John James Curphey, a miner, living at King Orry Laxey Lonan. I cannot find them on any census.
