THis is new info for me. I have Thomas a shipwright on Johns marriage certificate.
John and Mary did have a daughter Dinah so looks like same family.
mary was born in Ulverstone which I think is quite near to Whitehaven.
I have John as being born in Peel on a later census record.
I must do some more investigation
