I have a John Boyde born in Ballaugh c1779...

I have his baptism as:

John BODDAGH at Ballaugh, 6th March 1782.

His wife was Margaret Cannel (born: Michael).
They had 7 children (I think) between 1809 and 1828.

He may be buried in Ballaugh on 5th November 1848, aged 69. [Hence YOB being 1779]...

I think his father was Philip Boddagh born 1734-1743... Philip married a Cowley (Jane?) from Ballaugh in 1761.

I think Hugh is from a different branch of the family...
