Its certainly is going to take me lots of time to sort out I am having great difficulty getting my head round all of this

Its really weird because the IGI has an Emily JaneCowley born to
ROBERT COWLEY & CATHERINE COMISH 1866 Braddan

IGI Robert Cowley and Catherine CoRNnish Married 1865 Braddan

Robert dies 1866

Then there is Emily Jane to James Boyd and Catherine ? Douglas 1867

There are 3 entries on IGI for marriages for James Boyd
1872 Braddan to C Cowley
1873 Braddan to C CoMish
1873 Braddan to C CoRNish

now I have looked at the 1881 census and seen an entry for
James Boyd
Catherine Boyd
EMILY J Cowley STEP Dau born Douglas
Charles Boyd 3entries IGI names CoMish and CoRNish
Thomas J Boyd no record on IGI

I think I could be forgiven for thinking I had the right one
But Donna had already said Catherine Cowley had died in 1877 so I don't know anymore

Why the entry for Emily COWLEY as Step Dau
on the census when there is an entry on IGI for Emily Jane born to James Boyd and Catherine ??
Oooh I don't know and its getting late
