A CROPPER OF BRANDY

In a report from the trial of my GGG grandmother, Sarah LYNCHEY and her son Thomas, at Castle Rushen in Novemeber 1833, Elizabeth CAIN the daughter of the publican at the "Halfway House" swore that the couple had purchased a "cropper of brandy and a pint of ale"
How much would there have been in a "cropper" or was this a mixed or watered brandy?
