Hi Kathleen. I have been researching the Devalves for about 3 years now. I don't know if you are still doing family history, but I have quite a bit of infomation on the family. I have a photograph of Joseph's mothers grave and also the marriage details of his parents. Did you know that Joseph and Sarah had twins in 1873. Emily Louise and Herbert Bath. they both died within a few weeks. Both Joseph and his brother John worked in the IOM. As you know Joseph married Sarah Gale and John married Ann Jane Curphey. I think the two girls were related or were friends.
