I am trying to trace my Gt Grandmother
Catherine Isabella Cowley born abt 1877
Kirk German on all the 1901 Censuses
Her Mother was Margaret Ann Cowley 1835 K/M
Her Father Thomas Cowley1831 Marown

Margaret Anns sister Elizabeth Jane 1833 K/m married William Christian 1826 K/German

I have traced her living in the IOM up to 1891
then nothing

I have found an entry 1901 England Census
Living in Liverpool age 22 born IOM
with Thomas Carmichael Scarffe age 44 born Liverpool
This is where my imagination started working overtime

T C Scarffe born to Christian Sayle & John Scarffe 1857 L/pool

Christian Sayle born to John Sayle & Isabella Christian 1823 K/German Peel

Isabel Christian born to William Christian &
MARGT Taggt (LDS)1781 Malew

Now William Christian born 1826 parents are listed on LDS as John Christian and Jane Lord

The entry for John Christian's Parents is Wm Christian & MARY Taggt 1791 Malew

If John and Isabella were brother and sister then Isabella would be William And Elizabeths Aunt hence some sort of family connection
and might explain why Catherine is in Liverpool with the Scarffes???

Or am I just trying to make the pieces fit?
