Isable Fargher married William Garrett 12-10-1751 at Lezayre. They had three children: William b 5-3-1748 (illeg) John b 15-3-1752 and Thomas 24-11-1754. Isable remarried to Richard Crompton (an Englishman) 19-Apr-1757 at Lez. Ref mnb. I have found a bur for a William Garrett 19-3-1757, also there is a will for Wm Garrett Lez 1757 which might be him.
I have checked Lez and Bride bur regs for Isable and Richard Crompton without success ,
but the name Crompton appears in the current
telephone directory. I have checked the igi for children to Isable and Richard, no matches, but will look through parish records next time I go to the museum. Either the family moved to a different parish on the Island or maybe Richard returned to England with Isable and her children. Does anyone have any ideas or information about Richard Crompton. Pauline
