I have a family on 1841 I.O.M. census, obviously with no relationships stated. I have John Morrison aged 65, Letitia Morrison aged 30 (she died the following year aged 35!), John Morrison aged 15, and William aged 10. I cannot decide whether Letitia is older John's wife or daughter since he is a 54!! yr old widower on 1851, and he dies the following year aged 77!!. 'Porkies' seem to be the order of the day. I have the burial dates as 1 Jul 1852 & 22 Feb 1842 and wonder whether gravestone inscriptions might shed any light on my plight. I see no other way to clarify relationships. Can anyone help me with this?
