Having done some double-checking re the MONK-KENYON-GARRETT connection (Strand Street), I am now looking for a marriage record between Ellen Kenyon and John Garrett. I am guessing the marriage took place sometime between 1830 and 1841. Ellen's birth abt 1810 would preclude a marriage much before 1830, however, marriage at a younger age cannot be excluded. Nothing to be found on the IGI or FreeBMD (I thought they might have been married in England). I also tried Ancestry but they don't hold IOM marriage records. Ellen's illegitimate daughter Mary Ann was born abt 1834, so I'm hoping to determine if Ellen was already married to John Garrett at that time.

I'm unable to determine which John Garrett burial is correct, and consequently nor can I determine which John Garrett Will is correct.

John Garrett was born 1789-1801 and was a Master Mariner. He died sometime between 1851-1861. He is included in the 1851 Ramsey census but Ellen is listed as a Widow on the 1861 census. I checked Manx Notebook for anything re John but to no avail.
