One of the main points in research, is getting to the true facts, regardless of whether it's uncomfortable or not.
At the very beginning of the thread Manx Royal Lineage, Frances asked a straight forward question:
--------------------------------
do you have a baptismal date for Henry ? Taubmans born in Rushen (as per his 1851 census entry) are unknown at that period.
What justification do you have for Mary Moor being mother especially as her will is 1755 and is buried Malew 17541130.

Possibly you meant Margaret Moore whose will does indeed mention a son Henry - I would be interested in any lineage of either John or Margt

if you have him born 1780 but no baptismal date, born to a mother who would appear to have been buried some 15 years prior then I suggest you have a very interesting family tree - I suggest that if you are busy publishing said tree then a little more research might be useful.
Taubman is quite a common name - originally thought to derive from an immigrant who came over to work the early lead mines.
Moore is an extemely common name - often with Irish links.

I suspect your claimed 'Royal' link is possibly via the Norris family - if you look at the summarised will of Margt Moore on Manxnotebook you might find a clue - Arbory records are incomplete but I suspect you will not find a proveable link back to the Edward Christian (who it must be admitted was well known for the number of his illegitimate children)
--------------------------------
This appeared to have got his back up as he was unwilling to accept certain irregularities in his tree and therefore it went from bad to worse.
For those who do have claim to be from Royal descent, then this must be great, as this adds to a story of a persons lineage and can make some interesting reading, but one must also consider that for most of us, we see our families in strife and struggling to survive through famine and disease.
This for me, is as interesting and compelling a read as any Royal descent, but the same reasoning goes for both of them; and thats finding the truth through the various records, to substantiate a true line.

Thats why I like coming onto this board and reading the many threads for those missing clues or snippets of information found from all corners of the earth. If it can be found, It'll be wrote on here or you'll know that persons will try to find it and thats what its all about for me, the way the members help each other and provide a valuable insight to who you are looking for.

For those who write in and especially to those who regularly contribute and provide information,
