I have no idea where this Robert Keig was during the 1851 census. Other than to say I have found in my other research efforts that a good many of the able bodied men were "missing" in this particular census. I don't know if it had to do with some sort of fear about being counted or just what but I have run across this many many times before. They just "aren't there"
