Italian POW Camps WW2

Hi to all,

My grandfather was an italian emigrant who married in Clerkenwell in 1906,and raised his 3 sons 2 of which served their british army military service ww2.
During this period my grandfathes's address was Holborn Infirmary London. He died after 1936 but I have searched for a death certificate, even hired the services of a genealogist, without success. So I was wondering if he was rounded up and collared with all other italian aliens during WW2 and send to I.O.M. pow internee camps where i'ts possible he may have died. Could anyone give me any advise on italian pow camps and address where I could write for a possible death certificate. Thanking you in advance.
Elizabeth.
