Woodcock marriage

Dear all
I wonder if it would be possible for someone to locate a marriage for me. I have searched English church records but have had no luck.

Albert Douglas WOODCOCK was the son of Francis WOODCOCK (who was a photographer on Douglas head), and Margaret nee SHIELDS.

Albert was born on the Island c1877 and later (don’t know when) changed his name by deed poll to Albert DOUGLAS.

In the 1881 & 1891 census Albert was living with his parents at Stanley House on Douglas Head.

In the 1901 census still by the name of Woodcock Albert was living with his wife EMMA, she was age 28yrs and son Albert age 2 years. They were living in Warrington and the child was born in Warrington.

By the time of his marriage to Bertha SEDDON in Warrington 1908, Albert had changed his name by deed poll.

By the time of the 1911 census Albert DOUGLAS was living in Warrington with wife Bertha and one child.

All the family knew that Albert at one time changed his name by deed poll but had no idea why. Also no person in the family has any idea about Albert’s wife Emma and Albert jnr.

It may be my imagination running away with me but perhaps Albert was a bigamist and changed his name to avoid prosecution.

The family had connections with St Mary's catholic church and although two of Albert’s sisters Emily Jane and May Blanche Beatrice married on the Island (don’t have details) I was wondering if Albert married Emma on the Island and that is why I am unable to locate the marriage.

I would be most grateful if someone could help me solve the mystery of Albert and Emma.
Kind regards
Karen
