I have recently discovered that my daughter's great great grandfather John Kelly was born c1829 on the Isle of Man. I appreciate that Kelly is a very common name and I am awaiting his marriage certificate to discover his father's name.
I am not sure when he left the Isle of Man but all his children were born in Egremont Cumberland from 1857 on and that is where he married.
My question is what parish would Port St Mary come under as this is the town given as his birth place on the 1891 and 1901 census.
