Thank you Sue. I needed confirmation that I was on the right track. Notwithstanding I was in a dilemma as there are several derivatives in both the christian and surnames. My grandmothers name appears as Ann, Anne, Anna, Hannah and Gilmer, Gilmour,Gilmore etc. Fortunately Carol whom I met some 5 years ago generously looked up the details which matches other information I have. As stated in my previous correspondence I intend visiting the IOM in March / April. As I am coming from New Zealand it is imperative that I have as many details before my visit. The Millar side of my family has been difficult to trace as Irish record can only be sourced at PRONI Belfast. I became motivated again in this search when I discovered the 1911 Irish census is available on line and lists my Grandmother Anne Millar (Gilmour) As you suggested I will purchase the marriage certificate in Douglas.
