My great grandfather Edwin Gradwell Strickland moved to the Isle of Man from Liverpool about 1892 presumably to find work and was killed on 7th August 1894 while working as an assistant as a shooting gallery in Douglas. The death certificate records he was accidentally killed by John Vaughan when he was firing off a rifle at a target in a shooting gallery. The inquest was held the following day and I would love to find out more details of this unusual death. Can anyone help either with the record of the inquest or what might have appeared in local newspapers?
