I have photos of them at different stages from the late 1890s to circa 1940, all in what appears to be a nice garden. So that was probably their own garden at 10 Finch Road. Thanks for helping me sort that out, Mary.
I wonder whether the Cain dentists who dealt with your teeth at 8 Finch Road were related to Edwin Clegg, dentist at 10 Finch Road a generation or two earlier. Perhaps Edwin had persuaded a Cain nephew to follow him into the profession.
Edwin's 2 children followed a similar career path. The younger one, Alice Maud Mary (Maudie) Clegg b1891 also became a dentist, in Liverpool. The elder one, Edwin Alfred (Ted) Clegg b1890, became a doctor, both as a ship's surgeon and later as a Harley Street consultant. Although they both married, we don't think that either of them produced children.
