If you look at the IGI on FamilySearch for parents Gilbert Kennaugh and Elizabeth Brew you can see that all their Malew parish register entries have been replaced by submissions from members of the LDS Church, and most have duplicate entries for the same date except for having a one year difference.
His sister Catherin has three entries - same day and month, but for 1765, 1766, and 1767.
Obviously at least two church members have submitted entries, and at least one of them couldn't read which year she/he was looking at.

You need to look at the official copies on film.
