Hey Andy,

Anything you have on the Egans and where they originated from would be so appreciated. I have another cousin in the Liverpool region and we have been trying for years to find out what part of Ireland the family came from. I think I found the Egan's parents from the BMD online in Chester. Am I right in that Mary's parents were James Egan and Margaret Murphy? I figure that they came to the Liverpool area around the time of the potato famine in Ireland.

So You are the grandson of Great Uncle Steve, is that right? I don't remember him, I do remember uncle Jim, Aunty Nora and Mona. My Nan was the youngest, Clara, she died Dec 21st 1985 of complications from Stomach cancer, she was a great Nan and I wish that I had asked her more when she was still alive. My cousin is the son of Hette, she was the daughter of one of Mary Frances' sisters and with her husband George settled in Foxdale in a little cottage called Sunny-Cott, it's still there today. Uncle George in still alive but living in care in teh Wirral area with his two grown children.

Thanks for getting in touch Andy, I have some info on the Kellys going back to the mid 1800's when our Gx3 grandparents lived in a cottage on a 6 acre property between the Hope and Ballacraine called Scravolley. It is also still there today and the home of good friends of my husbands and I.

If you are comfortable send me your email and I will send you all that I have on this line. I am not a great genealogist, but I have checked as much as I can with census records and certificates where possible and a lot of collaboration from this board through the generosity and patience of many folk. Perhaps we can get a little further back working together if your up for it!

Kind regards

Sue
