William Worthington Duggan (known in the family as Worthington - his mother's maiden name) never married. He had four sisters who all died unmarried (the Misses Duggan who kept a cafe/tea room in Castletown) and one who did marry and had a son across. Worthington had various business interests, including a partnership owning various public houses with Richard Cain who later owned the Castletown Brewery. WWD had previously worked for (and I think become a partner in) Mylchreest and Co, the grocers, wine merchants etc who occupied the large building in Malew St now the Vineyard and whose stores extended into what is now the Speaker's Garden
