This view hadn't occurred to me but it is certainly a possibility. There was another newspaper report in the IOM Times which stated 'Same day, in Drumgold Street, Mr William Barry, formally in business in Church Street, Douglas, aged 63' He was actually 72 but never mind!! I now wonder if the the 'formally' referred to the time before his retirement or before his death. He was certainly William Barry, grocer, Church Street, the year before. Thanks, Diane
