Becky, it seems to me that the one secure fact that you have is that William Teare, born on 10th December 1842, was your great-grandfather. You have also found other Teares that might or might not be related. My knowledge relates to Albert Hugh Teare, who did indeed have a brother Alfred Cecil Teare.
Finding living relatives of a person is a lengthy business, even for someone who has just died, as probate practitioners know. It is much more so for someone born over 150 years ago. Unless you happen to find that a researcher has already studied your line, you will need to investigate the family, and there are others who post on this board who will be able to offer suggestions. Do you know where your great-grandfather was born? If it was on the Isle of Man you could look for his baptism in the parish register, look for siblings in the register, and try to find them in the censuses.
