This is a bit of a long shot, but, there was a Robert Fell in Douglas in, I think the 1830s, who either owned or handled the renting of properties to the likes of Sir William Hillary. I'm pretty sure I got this info from the newspaper index cards in the Manx Museum. One thing I did spot, and keep a note of was a notice in the Manx Sun of April 24, 1835, 'To be let, The Dwelling House in the Court opposite the British Hotel, late in the occupation of Mrs Fell.' No idea if these two individuals were actually married to each other, or if they had children...
