In the name of God Amen I William Clague of Ballacurry in the parish of
Santon being of sound mind, memory, and understanding at the making and
execution hereof do make and publish this paper writing as and for my last
will and testament in manner following that is to say First, I commit my
soul to the mercy of God who gave it and my body unto a decent Christian
burial. Also, I leave and bequeath unto my son Robert the sum of one pound
Sterling also I leave and bequeath unto my daughter Ann the sum of one pound
sterling also I leave and bequeath to my son William the sum of one pound
sterling also I leave and bequeath to my daughters Margaret and Elizabeth
the sum of one pound each also I leave and bequeath to my son John the sum
of eleven pounds sterling also I leave and bequeath to my grand daughter
Elizabeth Kissack, the sum of one pound sterling. Also I leave devise
bequeath to my wife Margaret Clague all the residue and remainder of my
property both real and personal and whatsoever and whresoever the same may
be, and I nominated, constitute and appoint the said Margaret Clague
Executrix of this my last Will hereby revoking all former Wills or Will by
me at any time heretofore made. The witnesses whereof I have hereunto
subscribed my name this nineteenth day of November One thousand eight
hundred and seventy 19th November 1870 William Clague
Signed published and declared by the said testator as and for his last W and
T in our presence who in his presence and in presence of each other have
hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses. Edward Costain Robert Moore
At a chapter court held at Castletown on the 14th day of May 1875

Edward Costain and Robert Moore the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing
paper writing purporting to be the last W and T of William Clague late of
Ballacurry in the parish of Santon who died there on the 28th day of
November 1874 having made oaths written on the holy evangelists that this
testator William Clague when of sound mind memory and understanding duly
signed executed and acknowledged the same as and for his last will and
testament in their presence and that they in the presence of the testator
and at his request and in the presence of each other did subscribe their
names as attesting witnesses that Margaret Clague his widow and relict of
the testator the Executrix in the said will named as heretofore sworn well
and truly to fulfill and execute debts funeral and testamentary expenses of
the testator and the legacies contained in his will so far forth as his
estate and effects will extend ?????The Episcopal Registry of the Island
Diocese of Sodor and Mann aa ??? true and perfect Inventory of the said
estate and effects with an accurate accounting her ?? now ??? in ?? when
hereunto fully required those ends she hath given pledges namely Robert
Moore of Ballacurry and Edward Costain a Parochial Surveryor residing in the
parish of Santon who has ??? usual bond in the presence of the court
Probatum Est. R Nobb.?

Know all men by these presence that Robert Clague, Furnace man, John Craine
shoemaker of the parish of German, William Clague, gardener of the parish of
Lonan, Thomas S. Grensill, druggist of Douglas, Elizabeth Kissack, and John
Christian of the parish of Santon. Do own and acknowledge to have each and
severally received from Margaret Clague executrix of the late William Clague
parochial surveyor, the sum of one pound sterling each.

Also John Clague. Parochial Surveyor of the parish of Santon, do own and
acknowledge to have received from the said Margaret Clague the sum of eleven
pounds sterling the amount of a legacy bequeathed by the will of the said
William Clague and of which probate was granted at an ecclesiastical court
holden in Castletown on or about the twenty-eighth day of May one thousand
eight hundred and seventy five and they do hereby release and discharge the
said Executrix and the said estate from all claims and demands.

As witness their names this the 28th day of August one thousand Eight
hundred and Seventy five
