!EPISCOPAL WILL Michael 1821 FHL Film #0106422:
The last will and testament of John Caine of the parish of KK Michael who
being in his old age and declining years and unwilling that any dispute
should arise amongst his relations after his decease do make his last
will and testament in manner following:
First He commited his soul to God and his body to Christian burial.
2ndly He leave and bequeath to his three daughters namely Elizabeth Mary
and Jane the sum of one pound each.
3rdly He leave and bequeath to Ann Caine the eldest daughter of my son
John Caine the bed.
4thly and lastly I nominate and appoint my son John Caine whole and sole
executor of all the rest of my goods and effects moveable and imoveable
of what kind or denomination soever excluding all other person or persons
that will claim right or title to this my last will and testament with
six pence legacy also I appoint the sum of one shilling to each witness.
This the 18th of Sept 1821.

At a Chapter Court holden in K Michael the 23 Oct 1821
The executor is sworn in court in form of law and hath given pledges for
the payment of debts and legacies namely the witnesses of the will.
Probatum est. T. Stephen
John Caine husband of Elizabeth Caine and John Caine husband of Mary
Caine and Philip Quiggin husband of Jane Caine appeared this before me
and acknowledged that they severally had received the legacy of one pound
bequeathed in and by the 2nd item of the before going will to each of
their wives and hereby exonerate discharge and acquit the executor John
Caine his exors admors and assigns of the same of every pary thereof Dec
1823.

This is affirmed by the subscribing witnesses hereof to be the last will
and testament of Grace Caine als Killey/wife of John Caine of Baregarrow
in the parish of KK Michael who was of sound and disposing mind menory
and understanding at the time she declared the same as follows:
1st - She committed her soul to God and her body to a christian burial.
2nd - She left and bequeathed to her son and heir Thomas Caine the sum of
twenty shillings as legacy.
3rd - She left and bequeathed to her son John Caine the sum of twenty
shillings as legacy.
4th - She gave and bequeathed unto her daughter Mary Caine als Caine the
sum of twenty shillings legacy.
5th - She gave and bequeathed unto her daughter Elizabeth Caine als Caine
a legacy of twenty shillings.
6th She left unto her grand-daughter Elizabeth Caine daughter of her son
Thomas her wheel and her cloak.
7th She left and bequeathed unto her daughter-in-law Joaney Caine her hat
and a cotton handkerchief.
And lastly - she nominated constituted and appointed her daughter Jane
Quiggin als Caine whole and sole executrix of her last will and testament
and residuary legatee of all the rest residue and remainder of her goods
rights credits chattels and effects movable and immovable whatever and
she left to the witnesses of her will one shilling each.
As witnessess names mark this 15 day of December 1803
