6.13.4 Mary Kinread (3885)was baptized on the 10th June, 1826, at Jurby. She married
Thomas Callister on the 22nd ofAugust, 1844, at German. See 6.23 for details of her
descendants.
In 1841 she and her eldest sister, Catherine,were living in a separate cottage near to
their parents in Jurby. She was employed as an agricultural labourer. In 1851 she
and her family were farming at Ballanass, Patrick. In 1881, a widow, she and her
family were farming at Slieuwahllin.
6.13.4.1 Thomas Callister (6794) was born circa 1810 at German. He married Mary
Kinread on the 22nd of August, 1844, at German. He died before the 1881 census. A
burial for a Thomas Collister aged 69 is recorded on the 30th of January, 1881, at
Patrick. See 6.23 for details of his descendants.
He has not been positively identified in the 1841 census. In 1851 he and his family
were farming 20 acres at Ballanass, Patrick, at which time 2 labourers were employed
on the farm. In 1861 the family were farming 10 acres of Intack. In 1871 the
family (recorded as Collister) were farming 20 acres at Slieuwhallin. Thomas was
also employed as a lead miner.
