I leave devise and bequeath to every one who may claim any interest in
my will the sum of one shilling legacy.
Thirdly I leave devise and bequeath to my son Thomas Kaighin all my
right title and interest in to and unto all and singular that and those

lands and premises in the parish of Ballaugh called Close Rhenny to me
belonging and on which I now reside with the dwelling house and out
offices erected thereon, save and except that the said Thomas Kaighin
his heirs executors administrators assigns do pay to my daughter Ellenor
Kaighin the sum of fifty pounds, the said fifty pounds to be a lien and

charge upon the aforesaid lands and premises dwelling house and out
offices thereon erected hereby bequeathed until the same fully
discharged and payable to the aforesaid Elenor Kaighin an his the said
Thomas Kaighin his heirs executors administrators or assigns taking
possess of the aforesaid lands and called Close Rhenny adjoining the
High Road leading to the Curraghs.
Fourthly I leave devise and bequeath to my son Humphrey Kaighin all and

singular my right title and interest in to and unto those lands and
premises situated in the parish of Ballaugh called and known as Croit
Tommy Glenshaggle with the dwelling house and out offices erected
thereon to me belonging and adjoining the road leading to the Ellans and
also joins the land of Mary Mylecraine(widow,) and others the said
Humphrey Kaighin paying all encumbrances thereon and I also leave to
the said son Humphrey Kaighin my brown mare.

one pound legacy
Sixthly I leave devise and bequeath to my son Robert Kaighin the sum of

one pounds Legacy.
Seventhly I leave devise and bequeath to my on James Kaighin now in
America should he return and claim an interest in my will the sum of one
pound legacy.
Eighthly I leave devise and bequeath to my daughter Ann Kaighin the sum

of one pound legacy.
Ninethly I leave devise and bequeath to my granddaughter Eliza Teare the
sum of ten pounds legacy.
Lastly I nominate ordain and appoint my aforesaid son Thomas Kaighin
whole and sole executor and residuary legatee of all and singular the
rest residue and remainder of my personal estate, monies, goods,
chattels, and effects.

execution of the foregoing paper writing purporting to be the last will

and testament of Thomas Kaighin deceased having made oath upon the
Holy Evangelists that said testator Thomas Kaighin when of sound mind
memory and understanding duly signed and executed the same as and for
his last will and testament in their presence and that they at the same

time in his presence and in the presence of each other subscribe the
same in attestation thereof Thomas Kaighin the son of the decease the
executor in the said will named is therefore sworn well and truly to
fulfil and execute the said will and to administer all and singular the

personal estate and effects of the said deceased according to law by
paying the just debts and funeral expenses of the deceased and the
legacies contained in his will as far forth as his estate and effects will
thereto extend and the law bind him and to return into the Episcopal
Registry of the Isle and diocese of Sodor and Mann a full true and perfect
inventory of all and singular the said estate and effects with an
accurate account of his administration thereof when thereunto lawfully
required and to these ends he hath given pledges namely John Cashen of
Closekelly in the parish of Jurby and Thomas Callister of Poolhooie in
the parish of Ballaugh who have entered into and executed the usual
bond in the presence of the court.

the parish of Ballaugh doth hereby own and acknowledge to have received

from John Quine and Sarah Jane Quine his wife both of Close Rhenny

bequeathed to the said Eleanor Kaighin by her father Thomas Kaighin late
of Ballaugh deceased in and by his last will and testament bearing date

the Fifth day of September One thousand eight hundred and sixty six
probate whereof was a Chapter Court holden at Ramsey on the Twenty
seventh day of May One thousand eight hundred and seventy granted to his
son Thomas Kaighin the executor named in the said will together with
the further sum of twenty eight pounds with interest thereon from the
27th day of May 1871 to 27th day of February 1885 at the rate of four
percent per annum such legacy being charged and secured upon a certain
dwelling house and premises in the said parish of Ballaugh called Close

Rhenny now the property of the said John Quine and wife. And the said
Eleanor Kaighin doth hereby release acquit and discharge the said house

and premises of and from all liability claims and demand in respect of
the said legacy and interest thereon and doth direct and request that the
said legacy be and stand cancelled upon record. In witness whereof the

said Eleanor Kaighin hath hereunto subscribed her name this 27th day of

June One thousand eight hundred ninety one.

Thommy - Glenshaffle together with the dwelling house and out offices
thereon erected being situated in the parish of Ballaugh and adjoining
the lands of Mary Mylecraine and Boydes field and the road leading to the
Ellans the said Humphrey Kaighin his heirs executors, administrators or

assigns to pay to my daughter Ann Kaighin the sum of twenty pounds at
my decease the said twenty pounds to be a lien and charge on the said
property namely Croit Thommy Glenshaggle until fully discharged and
paid off.
I leave and bequeath o my son Robert Kaighin the sum of five pounds
legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my son William Kaighin the sum of five pounds
legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my daughter Ellenor Kaighin the sum of five
pounds legacy.
I leave to my daugher Ann Kaighin the sum of five pounds legacy.
I also leave and bequeath to my daughter's Ann and Ellenor Kaighin
equally between them all my wearing apparel also one bed and bedding
each.
I leave to my aforesaid son Humphrey Kaighin six sheep.
I nominate, constitute and appoint my son Thomas Kaighin whole and sole

executor and residuary legatee of all my monies goods, chattels and
effects of whatever nature or kind as witness my name hereunto
