The IOM has a good reputation for cycling, and there have been a few professionals. In fact, the island, as in its former tradition of world leaders in many things, including womens' vote, has a great scheme during the summer where all kids who have a bike can race, including the babies race where the little darlings still have their stabilisers on and do one lap of the track. Then during the evening, it builds up to the serious stuff with the juveniles.
Cav started with this scheme, but I think he was about 9 or so.
