Not all of those listed on Frances' Manx Notebook 1832 cholera pages appear on Brian Lawson's list of burials.
Given the necessity of burying cholera victims as soon as possible it is understandable that some records could be incomplete.
Would a death certificate have been prepared and if so where would these be found?
I am particularly interested in reports in the Manx Sun 2 October 1832:
*"On Monday in Castletown......Michael McLinchey...."
*"At Castletown on Thursday.....Son of Michael McLuchy...."
When Frances pointed these two entrie out to me she helpfully suggested that the clerk may have had difficulty with a possible Irish accent and that the name may have been the LYNCHEY family who I have been seeking for several years.
If there were death certificates any information may assist me.
