Re: Perry family of Maughold
In Response To: Perry family of Maughold ()

Hello Craig,

I'm not researching Perry, but I have Maughold parish register transcripts. This is their marriage:
16 Jan 1875
John PERRY 23 Bachelor Labourer [residence] Barenagh, Michael, [father] Samuel Perry, Labourer, and
Hannah CROWE 22 Spinster, Collin's Ct, Ramsey, [father] Thomas Crowe, Carter.

With their residences, ages given, and fathers' names and occupations, the families should be reasonably easy to trace back to 1841 in censuses.

Philip Henry also married in Maughold:
11 Sep 1898
Philip Henry PERRY 24 Bachelor Mariner Ramsey, [father] John Perry, Labourer, and
Maud SKINNER 23 Spinster Ramsey, [father] John Skinner, Shoemaker.

These also look like family members:

25 Dec 1900
John Henry CORKILL 25 Bachelor Mariner Ramsey, [father] John Henry Corkill, Quarrier, and
Elizabeth Jane Maude PERRY 23 Spinster Ramsey, [father] John Andrew Perry, Stoker.

Is this Elizabeth Jane Maude remarrying?

6 Feb 1910
John Thomas KNEALE 24 Bachelor Baker 14 Bowring Rd, Ramsey [father] William Kneale, Miner, and
Janie CORKILL 30 Widow 38 College St, Ramsey, [father] John Perry, Stoker.

1 Oct 1904
John Charles Postlethwaite COWELL 23 Bachelor Labourer Ramsey, [father] John Cowell (dec), Mariner, and
Hannah Ann PERRY 22 Spinster Ramsey, [father] John Andrew Perry, Stoker.

11 Oct 1908
Henry PEAKE full age Bachelor Labourer 30 College St., , [father] Thomas Peake, Labourer, and
Catherine Eleanor PERRY full age Spinster 30 College St., [father] John Andrew Perry, Labourer.

23 May 1920
John James PERRY 25 Bachelor Labourer 6 Bark Lane, Ramsey, [father] John Samuel Perry, Fireman, and
Susannah WOOLNOUGH 20 Spinster Higher Broughton, Manchstr., [father] Frederick William Woolnough, Merchant seaman.
