Sayle - looking for more information

I am trying to track down information about my gggrandfather.

His name was George Alexander Sayle. He is from Douglas, IOM. His father was named James (aka Jas) and his mother was Harriet McDonald. George and his two sisters Emily and Mary Jane were taken from them. James died no later than 1893. Harriet was entered into an asylum ("drunkard"). James and Harriet were married Sept 10/1875 and Harriet was 20 at the time. I found a reference to a James and Harriet Sayle in the 1881 census. It may or may not be them, but I think it is. The address was in Onchan, IOM. The had another son listed (William H), and two more daughters (Annie and Mary L or I).

George was sent to Canada in 1885 and Emily and Mary Jane in 1893.

Very weak evidence points to James's father as Robert Sayle from Bride, IOM, Christened Dec 24/1832. Robert was possibly married to Jane Carr on Dec 3/1849 - but that would make him pretty young. If this turns out true at all, Roberts father might be John Cowle married to Ann Sayle. It is probably best to forget this paragraph, as the evidence is quite weak.

So, can anyone help me confirm or deny any of this, fill in any blanks, provide any dates?

Thank you very much
