Philip H Quayle in the 1891 census is shown as being 5 years old, in receipt of parish relief, staying with his uncle John Brew in Ballaugh, West Quarter.
His father Philip Quayle is away at sea, but there does not seem to be any record of his mother Annie Quayle, born abt 1858, or her daughter Harriet who would be about two years old.
If they were in hospital, would they be on the census? Or is there another explanation?
Also if I can push things, is there a record of Parish relief for Peel?
Thank you for your attention any help.
Colin.
