That is the verse I meant as you suspected, it is part of my standard reply to those who indicate a preference for being Teetotal. The other part is to remind them that Our Lord turned water into wine "so that the wedding party might go with a swing"-however I can never remember the reference for this one.
The other thing your reply shows is that different translations have the verse numbers a little different, that's a subject for a different forum although I know not which.
