There is no proof given that Philip Brew who was buried in Ballaugh was bapt in Andreas. It looks as though the Andreas bapt was chosen because it was the only parish which had a bapt around the right date, but as there were several Philip Brews in Andreas at the time it is far more likely that the Andreas Philip bapt was for an Andreas Philip.

I suggest you look at Ballaugh records where Brews had been living for generations. There is a list of their wills on the website, including Margaret BREW als MYLROI Epis will 1740 Balaugh LDS no.0106376
