Hi
Having progressed a little further researching with my IOM ancesters, I am now looking at Charles Crellin b1794 (IGI) (parents probably John Crellin/Jane Kelly) Charles married Jane Callow, Bradden 1813 (IGI), a number of children resulted 1813-1835, Charles & Jane with some of their children were still present in 1851 Census (Kiondroughton (spelling??)) however the their children John and Edward had left IOM by this time and I have all the information thereafter.
Edward should still show up in1841 as he would only be aged 6 in 1841 so presume still living with parents.....
I have found difficulty locating this Charles/Jane Crellin (with Edward et.al.) family in the 1841 IOM census. This Crellin family was most associated with Onchan/Douglas/Bradden/Lonan areas - mainly the later.
Having looked at many IOM 1841 - 1851 census images - I have noted that families were often scattered, resulting households made up of several family names - making association much harder than I am used to in English census of same period.
Does anyone have any comments on any of the above?.
