I did see the Coat of Arms when I saw the book the Christians of Charles City. That was the book researched and written by Eunice Stacy of Louisiana. She was quite old when I contacted her to see if there were any copies available of that book, but it was sold out. It is on file with the Library of Congress and goes back to the 1400's and the Isle of Man. I called her and she stated how difficult it was to get any information about the Georgia group of Christians and she had taken most of the information from the wife of a cousin of mine. Since I was a late child, my name wasn't even mentioned in the lineage. One of my cousins visited Georgia and I believe that she found some graves. Also, note that the book of The Christians of Charles City had the Coat of Arms and a picture of the family mansion built in the 1400's and still standing. It just recently in the past few years sold out of the family. We come from a long line of Deemsters (or lawyers). Of course, in those days jobs or titles passed from one generation to another. They had hugh land holdings in the Carolinas. My father did mention a Grandma Scales? I really don't know how she is related. More to ponder, huh? Sincerely, Jo A. Pratt (nee: Christian)
