As Brian has said there are two possibilities - wm son of wm butcher (bur Mal 18501114 age 43) and Ann Kinvig (mo Isabella as some ch with widowed gmo in 1851 in C'town) - one son Edward emig to Australia;
and Wm son of Thomas + Eliza Kneale - Thomas is missing from 1851c but Eliz is living nextdoor but one to a Jane Beedon most likely widow of Patrick Beedon with son Thomas bapt San 1819-02-14 (tho he states age 26 in 1841c).
The earliest Beedon (various spellings) appears to be a Patrick with wife Marth Munds (various spellings) - Martha d 1799 and Pat appears to remarry in 1803 Margt Thomson (?bur Rus 18361104 age 72) - I can't however find a son Patrick bapt on Island so it is possible the Patrick h/o Jane came over with putative fa Patrick (probably Irish).
Neither can I find a bapt for Wm (born c.1805) - Margt Thomson looks too old yet I feel he must be related to the Rushen Beedon family.
However there is another possible contender a James Beedon m an Elizth Higgins at Braddan 18450730 - at this time Braddan (ie Douglas) had a a couple of paper mills and paper-rulers were needed - I don't see any children to this couple nor any James bapt on Island
